Anthony and Marty opened up their house to me which was awesome. I originally stayed upstairs, but they offered me the main level since they were leaving for the winter. The house is perfect, great location, which is walking distance to down town. The house is really old but in great shape. I recommend this house because the hosts are awesome, they make you feel like family. ❤️❤️

Marty is a lovely person. Norwich is a beautiful town. If you are new to the area, be aware of the lake effect and how cold and snowy it gets and how to dress, drive, and live accordingly. The house is beautiful and cozy. The village is walkable- even in 10 degree weather, with daily snow, I found it easy to walk to the pharmacy, pub, mechanic, hospital, and cafes as often as I wanted. If you don’t buy too much, you can also walk to the Grand Union grocery store as much as you like. The area is historic and you’re surrounded by mansions. The region has Amish villages, quaint hillsides, lots of waterfalls and hiking, and it’s scenic any time of the year. It looks like a postcard at Christmas. Marty is very responsive and the neighbors and residents are friendly. It seems that everyone knows each other

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Norwich at this charming historic house. This was a second floor apartment with hardwood floors and tastefully decorated with beautiful antiques. The location was perfect. Walking distance to downtown and close to everything we needed. Marty was a super host. He met us at the house and helped us carry our luggage upstairs. He even left us a very nice welcome gift. I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

The vacation at Marty‘s apartment was amazing! Super cute room, perfect location with 5min walk to the beach + 10min walk in the evening to get to the mile with restaurants, shops etc. The pool which belongs to the apartment house is really beautiful, calm and private with only a few other guests/tenants present sometimes. Often we had the whole pool area, which was in a beautiful garden, all to ourselves. We had a perfect time in this stylish and cozy apartment and are looking forward to coming back! Also, huge shoutout to Marty! Even though we could not meet in person, he was super responsive via texting, kind and welcoming, a very cool person and THE perfect host. Thank you Marty, hope to see you soon again!

Staying at "The Ciderhouse" was such a great experience. A lovelingly taken care of historic home in Norwich right on the main street. Convenient to downtown and the hospital just down the street. The apartment on the second floor is a nice space and perfect for two people. Great walk in shower, plenty of counter space and great lighting. Big TV in living room and a pretty electric fireplace great for cozy winter nights. Beds are firm and linens were super nice, all cotton! Kitchen had everything needed including all the pots and pans small stove to cook, microwave, fridge and coffee maker, which is super important!! We stayed about 6 weeks and was very happy to have found this place. Marty is a fabulous host, checked on me and my son several times throughout our stay. Such a great person and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall this has been the best Airbnb I have stayed at.

We had the most wonderful time at Miami Beach thanks to Marty! I cannot speak highly enough of his responsiveness, helpfulness and kindness! The location is fantastic and made all the difference to us. We would wake up, have a great workout in the building gym, and head to the beach – so close and a less hectic part compared to other parts of south beach. Lincoln road and ocean drive are a 25 min walk. We love walking and the weather made it super easy, it was no trouble to us! The place was organized and had everything we needed for a week. Comfortable bed, and well working AC. The apartment was great size for 2 adults, but would not recommend anything more than that. The building itself is in great condition, we spent time at the pool too which was great. Thank you, Marty, for a great stay! We would gladly be back.

Marty made the process so incredibly easy. The AC went on the fritz quite unexpectedly, but Marty helped me through it even in the middle of the night. An absolutely wonderful host who made me feel very at ease throughout.

We arrived without knowing much from Miami and its long distances from one place to another, we were surprised by the incredible location of the apartment when walking around much of South Beach. You have bicycles for rent within minutes, as well as warehouses and restaurants close to the apartment. Everything is amazing, a fantastic place where you can also enjoy a pool afternoon after going to the beach. The hosts are very friendly and friendly!!! Marty was always worried about every detail and our comfort in the place, very kind!! 1000% recommended.

The apartment is amazing. Very close to the beach, Wahington Avenue and all amenities. The hosts are very available and have thought of everything in the apartment including chairs and beach umbrellas. The photos are completely identical to reality. Very good stay, highly recommend.

Such a great experience! The apartment was lovely, the host was wonderful, and the overall experience was great! The apartment is cozy and is fully stocked (and I mean fully stocked – towels, beach chairs and umbrella, soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, bags, dishes, glassware, utensils, pots/pans etc etc 🙂 ) with anything you will need for your stay! The location can’t be beat and it is such a great value for all that you get. I have to mention the pool area as well because it is so beautiful. Marty is kind and so helpful with anything you may need, he made us feel very welcome and is such a great communicator! We will definitely come back 🙂

Marty's unit in the mantell plaza was the perfect place for me as I traveled to Miami for a month to live, work remotely, and explore the city. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the pool, gym, laundry, and common spaces made the experience feel very wholesome. The area near the unit is very residential, safe, and quiet, but is just a few blocks walk from the beach and the nightlife of South Beach. my only regret was that I couldn't stay longer. Marty was a very welcoming and communicative host that balanced accommodation and privacy during my month-long stay. I would highly recommend this space for anyone traveling to Miami Beach.

Marty is a lovely and welcoming host. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Even though Norwich is my home town I struggle with finding a decent convenient place to stay right in town when visiting my elderly mother. She doesn't have room for us in her small apartment and I have tried everything from chain "hotels" to other AIRBNBs, finally I was able to book Marty's! My husband consults remotely and we need excellent internet connection. It was provided! There is plenty of room for 2 people to spread out, cook, watch tv read, etc. Much nicer than a hotel room for a long stay, our stay was 9 nights. I was in town during cold weather but I could see that the lovely back yard would be amazing in spring , summer and early fall. Just a nice place to sit and reflect or have a picnic. If you are in to architecture and homes built in the 1800's Marty's home and the homes surrounding are amazing. Lots of great walks. One can walk to nearby restaurants and shops easily. My husband and I are vegans so we often cook our own food when traveling, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave, oven, etc. everything needed to make full meals and grocery stores are nearby to easily gather ingredients. A great stay in my hometown!

Blue Hill Cottage is a lovely place to stay. Comfortable and clean with charming decor, good lighting and nice touches such as fresh flowers made our stay delightful! We used this as a central location to visit Cooperstown, Ithaca and explore some hiking and breweries. Marty is an excellent host and just as charming as the cottage with excellent knowledge of the area and what to do.

Our stay was good, still this place has some flaws you need to consider. First of all huge pros are excellent communication with Marty, incredible location near Miami Beach and very convenient pool area. Nevertheless, in my opinion the place is overpriced, as it not so modern in reality as it looks like on pictures. The building itself is pretty old, thus many things may brake there. During our 11 days stay we have experienced a number of inconveniences that affected our vacation. Here they are: – elevator was broken on check-in and Marty have noticed us about this and adjusted rental price by $100, but it hasn't been fixed eventually. – cooker has been broken, though Marty was eager to resolve it and ordered a burner plate. – toilet plumbing was leaking water when flushing. – inconvenient sink in bathroom and weak pressure of cold tap water in the kitchen. – cleaning wasn't good, we found someone else's hair in the kitchen, bathroom and closet. – internet can freeze sometime and it doesn't work for 5-10 mins (2-3 times every day), which can be critical during work and video meetings. – we've seen 3 cockroaches during our stay, but it seems the problem of the building, not an apartment itself. – not much light in a room at morning/evening time. – the building amenities such as library and gym have bad smell thus it's not convenient to use them.

Great place!! Pool grounds are spectacular,with lush greenery ,coiffed shrubs, beautiful bonsai trees some dating as old as 1968.,and 2 huge adjoining flowery trees that emanated a wonderful scent all around the pool area . Marty was super quick to answer all our of questions…..Location ideal 5 min. walk to the beach! Also 15 min-20 min walk to where the Miami buzz is ,but at the same time secluded in a quiet little neighborhood…… building also beautifully well maintained in and out.Being the gym rats that we are the gym was an added bonus for us …..All in all we really enjoyed our stay …..highly recommend it ! thank you Marty for making our little getaway memorable !

Marty may very well be the best host on Airbnb (he’s certainly the best host I’ve ever had!). We booked our trip at the last minute and from the get-go Marty was there to guide us along the way… he gave me instructions for getting there and checked in on us daily to make sure we were taken care of. Marty is chalk full of recommendations for activities and eats in the area and customized his recs based on what we wanted to do… by the way, the location is smack dab in the middle of tons of things to do in upstate NY. We spent a day in and around Ithaca and the next day exploring Cooperstown. Great value, great host, great spot! I’ll be there again soon, since 1 week is not nearly enough time to explore the region.

Sometimes you wonder if the reviews are what they are cracked up to be, and this DEFINITELY is. The hosts are so kind and considerate, and this location is literally a short walk away from the beach the best restaurants, drinks, lounges, and activities. The pool and apartment is as cute as advertised. Check in process and building are amazing. Really could not have asked for a better location/ stay. Definitely worth the book if you’re looking for great eats, a fun night out, and super accessible beach/pool access.

Just the place we needed for Bluesfest Weekend! Walkable to town. A nice older Norwich home with charm! Marty was an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. A lovely bottle of vino and a fruit plate were nice extra touches on our arrival!

We stayed here for nearly two months and it was a truly wonderful experience. Marty and Anthony were very accommodating and the space provided us with everything we needed. In walking distance are a few nice little cafes and delis, and we enjoyed the walk in the nearby trails every day. We look forward to staying the their places in the future. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay for Cooperstown!

Blue Hill Cottage is a perfect summer retreat from the world outside. You can sit on the front porch and listen to the nearby waterfall or relax inside and watch the sunlight filter through the windows. We loved our stay. And Marty and Anthony let us bring our sweet cat, which was a bonus! The house is definitely worth a look if you are searching for a summer getaway to the area.

The place is perfect -we stayed for a week while our son played in a baseball tournament in Oneonta. Marty couldn’t have made us (and our dog) feel more welcome. Clean, cozy, good tv for rainy days…. Great porch.

Marty is extremely helpful and communicative and provided us with many great suggestions for restaurants, hikes and beautiful lakes around the area. The house is beautiful, located in a small town and on driving distance to many hikes and lakes. Around the house you can do a small walk / run. Internet worked fine while working with 2. Would certainly recommend staying and hope to return in the future

We had an amazing stay and Marty's place. The apartment is exactly as presented on the RBnB site. It was really clean and we had anything that needed for a week-long stay. Marty was really reactive each time I had a question, he is a really nice and friendly host, we couldn't ask better. The apartment is two blocks away from the beach, and five to ten minutes' walks from restaurants and bars. The plus of the place is definitely the private swimming pool, it was never too busy and really quiet!

Very tranquil space with everthing you need. It's small but perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. The location cannot be beat: short walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and the bus. Highly recommed taking advantage of the free trolley that runs down Collins, the stop is right by the pedestrian bridge on the way to the beach.

My husband and I had a fabulous stay in Norwich! Marty and Anthony are wonderful and the house is lovely! Being able to travel with our pup was a huge plus; it is sometimes hard to find a place that will accept pets. The space is very nice, well decorated, extremely clean, and very comfortable. The backyard is an added bonus and is fairly private and really beautiful with tons of flowers. There is also a nice seating area as well as a grill which was great. The internet in the apartment was very fast which I needed as I was working remotely. We stayed for a month and could not have been happier. Marty responds quickly with answers to any questions and was always available by phone if needed. We highly recommend staying here if you are in Norwich. Thank you Marty and Anthony!!!

Marty’s place was so lovely, a well maintained and clean historical home located amongst the charming old Victorian homes, the neighborhood brings you back in time. Marty was inviting and had the best communication! He was thoughtful and attentive; we had a family tragedy and he made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. You cannot go wrong with Marty as a host!

This studio is the perfect location for one or two ppl who wanna be near the beach, Ocean Drive, Collins, and Lincoln Road. My partner and I took full advantage of being walking distance from all the places we wanted to visit. The building is beautifully maintained with a gym, a study room, and a pool. Marty went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and to make checking in and out as smooth as possible. I’ve never had a more attentive host!

Marty’s place is incredibly lovely. From the moment you walk in, you feel cozy and at home. We stayed for an extended period of time and the home had everything we needed. Marty went above and beyond as a host. My family was in a transition between houses over the holidays and Marty made sure to decorate the space so that we could really enjoy Christmas and not miss out on the holiday season with all of our own stuff packed away. Marty was very friendly and communicative as well; he made sure we had everything we needed.

Marty’s place was a great place for our short visit to Norwich. Nice size spaces for relaxing and cooking our own meals. Good assortment of streaming options and all the basic amenities you would need. Add to this a great location within walking distance of center city and quaint neighborhoods. Some good local restaurants too; Garf’s, The Wild Owl and Nina’s. Would highly recommend staying here if your looking for a place in Norwich.

This house provided a great base to explore a beautiful part of New York state. There was enough space that allowed my husband and I to both work during the day. We found a bunch of great farm stands out in the country-side. The Italian place in town was delicious. Marty had lots of great recommendations for food and hiking – it definitely helped us explore the area. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Great 3 bedroom house in New Berlin, the yard is surrounded by trees so it's very relaxing to hang outside and read a book!

We are so delighted of had been in Bluehill Cottage. Sparkling clean home, beautiful town, and surroundings. We enjoyed every corner of the house: special moments in the kitchen, cooking delicious dinners; joyful family movie time at the living room; every room has a delightful and charming design; we had memorable times in the back yard reading with a hot cup of coffee in the blue chairs and lunch in the lovely dining table. The quality of every feature in the house is perfect for a short or long term stay. Marty is a warm host. Everything is on time and in place, and every detail in the house is handcrafted. The check-in and check-out process is a Swiss timepiece machine.

Wonderfully friendly and responsive, Marty is super attentive and a pleasure to work with. The place is in a great location – a quiet oasis but just steps away from the beach and Lincoln Rd, and only a very short ride to all the bars and clubs. A great value, particularly with access to the pool and workout facilities. Was a great solution for an extended work trip.

Marty's place is THE best place to stay in Rio. The view does not get better than that and the location is phenomenal. Also the apartment itself is very beautiful and Marty is a great host! Norwich is a small town but with a great charm not much to offer but if you want to spend a few days there and visit the surrounding areas I will recommend this Airbnb. I had a pleasant stay, the place is super clean, charming and very cozy! Walking distance to coffee shop and restaurants. Marty was a great host, courteous and very responsive.

I was taken aback by the beautiful home and location, within a mile of Norwich’s city center. The decor and cleanliness made the stay cozy and comfortable, while Marty and Anthony made our visit truly one of a kind. Our hosts were very personable and super fun to chat with. Chenango county is an amazing place and Marty was able to guide me to several waterfalls in the area. His knowledge and passion for this area were great for some day driving and exploring, his restaurant recommendations were excellent as well! Definitely ask them if you need any tips or places to visit. We can not wait to visit these guys again!

What an amazing stay! The apartment is light and airy and has gorgeous high ceilings. Decorated in beautiful style, very much to my taste, very clean and with excellent amenities.

What made the stay special though was Marty’s hospitality. He was on hand, online, with tonnes of tips about Rio and was really open and friendly. Hope our paths cross again someday, too!

Marty’s house has all the amenities you could want with a great location. We were visiting our daughter at Colgate which was about a half hour beautiful car ride. Marty is a wonderful host and will make you welcome in his home.

The house has exceptional charm. It is very comfortable and clean. Marty is a very welcoming and gracious host who makes you feel right at home. You will hate to leave at the end of your stay. We will definitely stay again when we are back in Norwich.

Marty was a great host! I was traveling alone and this was my first trip to Miami. Before my trip, Marty and I spoke over the phone to get to know each other better, and I had the opportunity to ask him questions. The location was great, a walk and a hop to the beach, and within walking distance to everything in South Beach (SOBE). I love to walk so this was not a problem for me. Cary, who manages his property while is he away from the area, was there when I arrived and showed me where everything was in the studio as well as the complex. She was available if I needed her but I didn't. She made sure I had everything I needed in the studio before she let me be. When I return to SOBE, I will definitely rent this property from Marty again, hands down! Thank you again, Marty and Cary, for a wonderful, fun, and relaxing first-time visit to Miami! Marty is such a great host! everything was perfect. The location and place are great, it's steps away from the beach and walking distance from Lincoln Road…the place looks very Art Deco and feels like a getaway from miami beach, it reminded me a lot of the north of brazil (this is a really good thing) – especially the pool and the cool bonzai collection. I would return again and again and recommend Marty's place to anyone, anytime.

Marty and Anthony have a beautiful home in a great location in town. They’re always so helpful if you need ANYTHING! And they’re so kind. Norwich is such a cute little town, close to a lot of great areas around if you love hiking, museums, scenery. It has been a pleasure staying here the last 3 months while I’ve been working at the hospital, and if I ever get to come back, I’ll be hitting them up to stay again! The apartment is beautiful and perfect for anyone staying long term or for a night or two.

Perfect location, we explored all of Miami Beach on foot! A stone's throw from the beach for a quiet morning and afternoon relaxing by the pool which is always very quiet. Very functional and quiet apartment for quiet nights. Marty was always very available to answer our questions. I recommend the Italian restaurant Sylvanos, not far from the apartment on foot. (Recommended by Marty)

The flat is fully equipped, we had literally EVERYTHING, and Marty was always in touch and helped us with every issue. My first experience staying at an airbnb was amazing !! Marty was an amazing host. He greeted my guest and I personally at the door and helped up with our luggage. He gave us tips on restaurants and how to get around. The apartment is spacious enough, quiet, and has everything you need ! The location is even greater ! Great stay! Marty met all of our expectations and needs. The apartment is located in a quiet, clean residence, 5 minutes' walk from the beach and 30 minutes from Ocean Drive. The pool and the outdoors are clean and well maintained. During our stay, the pool was closed for 4 days but Marty gave us a nice offer on the price of our stay. The apartment matches the photos, clean, very well-equipped (dishes, cooking utensils, linens, beach chairs…) Before and during our vacation, Marty was very available and responsive as soon as we had a question.

Marty is an amazing host! A+++++! Apartment is lovely and the location cannot be beat – close to everything South beach has to offer! The beach is also very close. I will surely be back and would recommend staying with Marty to anyone looking to enjoy a lovely getaway in Miami 🙂

Great place located at the top end of South Beach – a little quiet space in a nice quiet neighbourhood but still steps to the madness! We rented bikes and got around really well. Excellent and tailored advice from our great host Marty!

I stayed here for a month and LOVED this spot. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated, and the bed is very comfortable. Norwich is an ideal location for travelers looking for a quiet town in close proximity to some great hiking in the upstate NY area. Marty was a fantastic host with tons of helpful suggestions. We had a truly wonderful time at Marty's place. It was our first time in Miami Beach and we totally fell in love. First, Marty was so communicative from the moment we made the booking. He gave us great tips and was very accommodating with our unfortunately delayed flight. He was always easy to reach but wasn't pushy. We had everything we needed ready in the studio. It was very easy to get in and check out. Second, the building is in the perfect place just out of the bustle of South Beach. The building is cute and the unit itself is charming and stylish. The apartment is in a clasic 1940’s building in a nice quiet area with many traditional features combined with modern facilities. All this yet only a few minutes walk to the ocean. Everything SoBe and Miami Beach has to offer is within easy walking distance or via the free of charge trolley buses. A great base from which to explore Miami Beach and beyond.

The apartment is very nice, the whole unit very clean and the environment is very safely. Just a few minutes within walking distance to the beach. Also just a few minutes within walking to the trolley bus stop (a must have: „TSO Miami Beach Trolley“-App). By the way…different trolleys are driving in different loops through Miami Beach for free! The app is needed to know which trolleys drive which loop, where they stop and when they come.

If you have any questions, where’s the best restaurant or what else, Marty always had great recommendations. Thank you so much!!! :* This place is definitely the best: clean, friendly, safe and close to all the places you want to reach in South Beach!

Finally, a tip: we had a rental car and the cheapest place to park is the Garage 6, 400W 42nd St, Miami Beach, FL 33140 (reachable with Uber for ~ $ 6 or with the "Middle Beach Loop" trolley up to stop # 219 Sheridan Ave. and 41st Street) Only $8 parking fee for 24 hours!!! (Only for South Beach you do not need a car, but we also wanted to see Florida ;))

Marty’s place is an amazingly located apartment on the beach in Ipanema, the view from the window is breathtaking and Marty helped me so much with tips for my stay in Rio. Marty always responded promptly and many times sent me suggestions and in depth messages on how to get to these places. Marty is a fantastic host and I would easily recommend staying at his place!

We had a wonderful stay at Marty’s. The studio is clean, bright and there is everything one can need (including beach towels and an umbrella!). I have been several times in Rio de Janeiro, and the Lugar de Marty has no comparison. You are close to everything, if you leave the window open you can hear the traffic a little, but the sound of the ocean waves is priceless. The building is old (Like all buildings in Rio), but the decoration was done with pleasure. Of course, if you want to be comfortable, a maximum of 2 people. I went with my 18-year-old son, and he stayed without any problems on a sofa in the living room. In short, a couple in the double bed is no problem, there is enough space, the bed is large. If 2 adult friends go, only one enjoys the big bed and the other in the sofa. Other than that, many details like ice-cold champagne waiting for you. Of course, for the price you can find something bigger but further away. Marty gave me a lot of useful tips. In short, the apartment's strong point is the place, which is incomparable. For me, a 55-year-old man with an 18-year-old son, it's excellent. If you're going as a couple, go with someone you trust, because the bedroom and the living room are one medium-sized room, there's not much privacy. The kitchenette is excellently equipped. I hope to go soon with my wife. Thank you Marty.

Thanks to Marty, we had a wonderful stay in Miami! The location of the apartment is perfect – it is less than 5 minutes to the beach. Shopping facilities are also in the immediate vicinity. Lincoln Road with many shopping opportunities and restaurants can be easily reached on foot. The apartment is super cute and totally sufficient for 2. In the building complex, the generously equipped fitness room, the laundry room with washing machines and dryers as well as the pool can be used. Marty is a really good landlord who always strives to make sure his guests are doing well! He was able to give us numerous tips about sightseeing and evening arrangements – thank you so much for everything!

Marty's place is really nice. I loved the beautiful dishes in kitchen and bathroom and art work on the walls. He provided a lovely bouquet in my bedroom and a Christmas tree in the living room. I also loved all the plants and the soft beautiful towels. The TV had all the great channels and the fireplace was a nice touch. The Wifi was fast. This place is a great stay.

Marty’s flat was clean, stylish and in a great location – in a quiet street only 15-20 min walk into all the action at South Beach. Only minutes walk to the beach and Miami beach board walk! The flat had everything we needed and a well equipped kitchen to cook some simple meals. The pool was also a nice treat. Marty was great at communicating with us via WhatsApp and provided lots of suggestions for local restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend for your stay in Miami Beach!

What a perfect Norwich experience! Marty and Anthony are really sweet and thoughtful, respected my space, and provided me with a clean and lovely home away from home. My husband and I loved staying at Marty's house. Beside being very friendly and responsive, Marty was always available to give us tips about the location. The location is just PERFECT if you want to enjoy the busy Miami Beach at the same time you want to have a quite space. You can easily walk to the beach or Lincoln road. There are a couple of small markets and also a publix walking distance from the apartment. If we stayed in Miami Beach for the whole day, we would not even need the car. We stayed for almost two months, so having a laundry on unit was absolutely awesome. The bed and shower are comfortable and I have just great things to talk about our stating!

For a true taste of historic upstate NY this place satisfies. Some of the houses in the neighborhood date back to the late 1700’s! It’s centered in the middle of Norwich, a quiet, wholesome town. The apartment of this house has plenty of room and all that you would need during your stay. The beds are comfortable and the airflow just right. We highly recommend this place for your upstate experience!

Marty was a great host and our stay at his place was wonderful. The rental was just as advertised and was the perfect fit for our family of two adults and two small children. We went to Marty's house to celebrate our honeymoon and we loved it! It is very well located, on the beachfront of Copacabana beach, but a few minutes from Ipanema beach and the subway, numerous restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and banks within walking distance. We really liked it and ate several times in "Manuel and Joaquim" which is just to the right of the entrance, looking towards the beach, typical Brazilian food at reasonable prices (given its situation facing the sea, on Atlantic Avenue). The apartment itself is very well kept and has practically everything (even screen in the shower, which they had to put on after hanging the photos) is super bright with a striking view of the beach from the living room, perfect for two people. We don't need to put the AC at any time, the sea breeze and ceiling fans were more than enough. Diogo, Marty's friend, prepared the apartment before our arrival with many details, water, milk, juice, chocolates… (thank you very much!) In short, everything was great, Marty and Diogo were at our disposal from the beginning and at all times, to give us advice and recommendations. I would definitely go back!!

Marty and Anthony were great hosts. Their space was more than advertised and very nicely appointed. The town is very lovely and historic with amazing homes and a few fun restaurants. Within easy drive to Cooperstown, Oneonta, Binghamton it is in a great location while offering a great rural small city experience. Marty's place is in an excellent neighborhood within a 5 minute walk to the beach and fantastic restaurants. The best part of staying at Marty's place was Marty himself. Upon arrival he met me at the condo and showed me around the building. The building and unit are well appointed & clean. Our experience in Marty's apartment was FABULOUS, not only because of the fact that the apartment is beautiful and all her descriptions on airbnb were identical and everything was spotless, tidy, and with an unbeatable view… but because Marty and Diogo attended us from before we went, giving us tips and tips on Rio and what places to visit and where to eat… that's priceless. They make you feel very confident and safe. They are both extremely friendly and loving. Upon entering the apartment after a tiring trip, finding so many details of gifts (water, fruit, chocolates, etc.) was very charming!!!! i would definitely choose the apartment again. the location is ideal, crossing the avenida tenesyel posto 5 and 6, which comparing, for us they are the best in copacabana. Clean beach and not so crowded. Very peaceful. The location is ideal, just 5 minutes walk to the beach over a little bridge over a canal to Collins Avenue and the beach. Just a few minutes walk to the Gansevoort Hotel, The W Hotel, SLS Hotel, and The One Hotel. Easy walk to Lincoln Rd. Lovely pool, and the building has a gym.

We had a great time in New York City. Marty's place is within walking distance of all the main attractions. We were very comfortable and Marty is the best! LOVED this apartment! Great location in Hell's Kitchen next to great restaurants. We were there to exhibit at a tradeshow at the piers which was walking distance. But if you are there to vacation in NYC for the first time, it is also super close to Times Square without being in Times Square (which I personally don't recommend staying right in Time Square, way too touristy, too many people, pricey and worst food in Manhattan).

Marty was unbelievably accommodating and super friendly. Greeted us in person to show us around and was in constant contact with us. The apartment itself is very charming, and we spent most night with a glass of wine enjoying the beautiful skyline on the rooftop deck! Without a doubt the selling point!

Marty really made us feel at home. The location is very pleasant, with a good distance to the metro. But the highlight is of course the roof terrace with the amazing view. We have had many breakfasts and a last drinks here in the evening. In summary: Everything was absolutely great!

We spent a great based in Marty's apartment. The location is fantastic, the views superb and the place is well represented by the photos. We had a couple of issues, which Marty attended to right away for us.

The apartment was exactly as described and as pictured. It was clean, comfortable, and cozy, with beautiful and colorful artwork of the Rio area adorning the walls. The title says it all..the view was amazing! My husband and I seriously set our alarm each night because we didn't now want to miss a single sunset over the hills/ocean while we were there. The location was just what we were hoping for: easy access to the beach, beautiful view, and walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. As far as getting around to other parts of the city, we had no problem using Uber for cheap transportation to the tourist spots we wanted to see (though we did set the pick up location as Golden Tulip Hotel next door per Marty's suggestion to avoid any confusion for the driver).

In addition to everything above, communication with Marty was easy and he was always quick to reply with responses to my questions. His directions to the apartment were so easy to follow that we had no problem getting right there from the airport even in the late hour we arrived. We ate at several locales referenced in his guidebook provided on his Airbnb page, and they were spot on as described. Very nice stay all around! I definitely recommend the place, and I hope that the hubs and I make it back again!

The roof terrace is the icing on the cake really! Perfect for sitting up there with a bagel for breakfast and then in the evening with a glass of vino! So much better than a hotel room! The location is perfect. Close to most attractions and not far from the subway. Yes, it's noisy at night, but you're in NYC!!! We soon got used to it! Location…Location….Location….LOCATION!!!! It honestly doesn't get any better than this. You can literally walk to Washington Ave, Collins Ave and of course the beach. There was also two beach chairs and a cooler if you needed it.

The unit was sooooooooooo clean and spacious but mostly importantly secure. You need TWO codes to get it…so that was great. The unit is close to all the action but far enough to rest in peace.

Any questions or concerns that we had Marty and Anthony was literally a text away.

Thank you again for being such great hosts. We will most certainly return.

Marty and Anthony are such sweethearts! From the moment I stepped out of the cab from the airport, Marty made me feel so welcomed. It was pouring when I came and he ran out with an umbrella to bring me into the apartment. The place looks fab! The pictures does no justice to how truly gorgeous it was! We went out for dinner on my 1st night and they gave me loads of tips to what/where/when to do in the Magic City. We hit it off like long lost good friends. Like what Marty said to me, he thinks that I am his lost twin brother:) Don't think twice on where to stay while you guys are in Miami, just leave them a message and you will feel that you are at home away from home! You guys rock!!

Renting someone else's home can be stressful – Marty is what every Airbnb host should strive to be. Marty was calm and in communication constantly, very very very helpful with the area, and hilarious.

I met with Anthony who showed me around, had a chat and a laugh with me, and showed me where everything was.

The apartment is perfect – good for a couple or two. Fully stocked and SUPER clean; cleanliness is hard to come by in Miami homes.

This is location, location, location!!! The beach is footsteps away as well as restaurants, bars, nightlife and all things that are South Beach.

The apartment is located on a street off the beaten path and feels like a neighborhood. It is tastefully decorated with soothing colors and great finishings. It is quiet at night and offers a tranquil environment for sleeping. The building is well kept and offers laundry on site.

Marty is a great guy who is full of great options for whatever you are looking for. He was helpful and was eager to make sure you enjoyed yourself while you were there.

We were at Marty's New Year's week. Honestly, everything was perfect. The apartment is very comfortable and very beautiful! Marty has experience and leaves everything ready for you. We had absolutely no problems. The location is ideal because you are close to Times Square (which was very good for me to return quickly on New Year's Eve after being in Times Square for 10 hours). Everything went very well and Marty always answered all my questions. He is very attentive and cordial. I would definitely recommend it!!!!

The apartment was fantastic. I was in the area for business, and wanted to stay in a central location. The midtown apartment was close to transportation (the ferry bus stopped on the same street, the train stop was a few blocks away). There were lots of restaurants in the area so that after work there was always something to do and see.

The apartment was exactly as shown, and spotlessly clean. It was very well equipped with great consideration to detail.

Marty and Anthony met us on arrival and made us feel so welcome into their home which is IDEALLY located to the theatre district if you are keen on performance and music-which we were!! The roof top garden is as pretty as their photos and a lovely space at sunset. There was so much choice for places to eat nearby and it was easy to walk most places. Recommend!

We had a wonderful time in New York, which was much enhanced by Marty's warm welcome and great apartment. Great location, comfortable apartment, and warm hospitality. We completely enjoyed our vacation in NY–and this fantastic apartment was our home-base. Transportation to anywhere in the city is easy and the neighborhood is a lot of fun. Highly recommended!

I find difficult to say anything but WOW. The place is exactly (and I would say even more impressive) than it looks in the pictures. When my friends and me entered the apartment, we were taken aback by the view from the window..powerful ocean and its sound, which we could hear on the 12th floor, much better than it can be heard on the 1st. Marty was very quick and helpful from the very first moments we booked the apartment. Not only his house manual gives you a very precise information about the flat and whereabouts, but almost all your questions are exhausted. The flat itself is very cosy, overlooking the Copacabana beach and sugar loaf, colorful, done with the taste..Diogo, was also ready to support with everything we needed, but we were already so well informed by Marty that we didn't have the need to address him anymore. Everybody was scaring us about criminals in Rio and I don't know if we were just lucky or all the warnings are exaggerated. Of course, you have to be careful but don't make it extreme. Rio is a wonderful city, people are great and Marty's flat is exactly what makes you feel from the very first moment that "Yes, here you are..in Rio de Janeiro". Thanks to Marty for making our stay so nice. When I go back to Rio again, I won't have to think much, where to stay 🙂

We stayed seven days in this wonderful apartment. First, Marty answered my request very quickly and was very attentive. On arrival at the apartment we were greeted by Marty with a bottle of champagne and roses, it was amazing so was Marty who took his time to know us a bit and talk about the area, restaurants, places and gave us tips on attractions in NY. The apartment is like a home away from home, spacious, charmingly decorated, incredibly equipped with everything needed, very clean, safe and close to everything in NY. Marty is a wonderful host as well as his apartment, both should earn a rating of "super" (host and apartment). If we return to NY again we would be there.We loved the whole experience.

I just returned from a great week in Marty and Anthony's lovely apartment. The view was every bit as wonderful as described and I thoroughly enjoyed eating my breakfast every day at the table they've placed right by the window. The pictures and description of the apartment are spot on and the location of the building is in my favorite part of Copacabana within easy walking distance of Ipanema. I liked the fact that the apartment is small as it made keeping it tidy a matter of only minutes a day. The internet access is excellent. Marty was very responsive to my emails and I made good use of the online list of recommendations they left. I would very happily stay here again on my next visit to Rio. The only drawback that I experienced was the bed which was the hardest that I have ever slept on! So my only major suggestion for improvement would be to invest in a thicker mattress.

Marty was welcoming from our first contact with him. He was very helpful, enquiring re our arrival time, so that it all went smoothly on the day. The apartment was exactly as described and shown in the photos – spacious, clean, and providing everything we needed. Lots of drawer and cupboard space and hangers, bathroom and kitchen clean and with all the essentials. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk to the Metro, and very close to restaurants, laundromats, a supermarket etc. It's also well placed for reaching museums, Central park and the usual tourist spots. New York is a big bustling city, but at night we were not kept awake by sirens etc. I recommend Marty's apartment as a great base for your NYC stay.

This was the first time we had used Airbnb and were a little apprehensive. However, the whole experience was fantastic! Throughout the intial enquiry and booking stages, Marty couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.

We were unfortunately delayed at Arrivals at JFK and texted Rachel (Marty's friend who was going to see us into the apartment). She couldn't have been more relaxed and replied with useful travel information for our transfer to Manhattan.

Marty's flat is superb! It was very clean, well equipped and in a great location.

The roof terrace is an added bonus to an amazing apartment. We spent our last evening up on the terrace, having drinks and supper, just absorbing the atmosphere and enjoying the city lights.

Regarding a previous reviewers comments about noise; living as we do in a quiet village in rural England we did have some concerns. There is some noise, but then this is New York, the city that never sleeps. Noise was never an issue for us and we both slept well.

We have no hesitation in fully recommending Marty's apartment.

We stayed at Marty's apartment for 8 nights. It was clean, comfortable and safe. The apartment was a 10 minute walk away from Times Square and there were also lots of amenities nearby eg grocery stores, laundry (self service, drop off and pick up), no gyms though. Being centrally located, we found it very convenient. However, because we were so central, the noise was unavoidable, especially when the windows were open. There would be constant sirens, honking, and trucks driving past, occasionally past midnight too. This was somewhat surprising because the apartment is located off the main street. I guess New York IS the city that never sleeps!!

Marty was a great host. He took the effort to get in touch with us a week before our stay to organize our check in. He made the process hassle-free and everything went smoothly!

We had an unforgettable New York stay thanks to Marty's great hosting! The view from the rooftop was breathtaking day and night! We were very well located which allowed us to do a lot of things on foot, and close to the metro so very easy to get around! Everything was spotless, we felt right at home! We had a great time staying in this apartment. The location for squillions of restaurants and for the proximity to Times Square and the Theatre district was perfect. And you are close to two subway stations to go wherever else you want. It was a shame the weather was so cold while we were there. I'll start by saying Marty and his assistant Rachel who helped us get into the home are great hosts! Probably the best communicators that I have had between online listing sites for rentals. The apartment is clean and comfortably sleeps 3 people. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a location in the Hells Kitchen/Theater/Time Square area. Marty also gave us some local dining recommendations which came in handy when our plane arrived late.

I can say only the best about Marty's apartment – we had a great time in NYC, the location is superb because you can reach most of the places by foot, apartment is well equipped and has a beautiful terrace. We had a wonderful stay in Anthony and Marty's very comfy place. They were very welcoming and there when we needed them. The place is wonderfully located, close enough to all the great Sobe activities, and yet on a quiet tree lined block, lovely to return to at the end of a busy day.

A must! This apartment is the most fantastic place I could have ever found in West Midtown. Elegant, enlightened, functional… I immediately felt like "at home". This feeling was even enhanced by the nicest way the owner welcomed me. Marty is a very generous and goodhearted person. He always answered all of my demands promptly with a lot of kindness and care. Many little attentions from him punctuated my 1 month stay. I felt more than listened, secure and really welcomed. The area is pleasant to live in as it is very close to Central Park, Broadway, the 9th where there is a lot of nice restaurants and deli's. I never took the subway and reached everything by feet, even Chelsea or the Metropolitan Museum. I will come back, for sure at spring or summer… (simply to enjoy the sunset on the amazing roof terrace what I could not do because it was 3° Fahrenheit in January). I feel very grateful for the conditions of the stay.

Marty was a great host. Even though we arrived really early in the morning, he managed to make us drop our bags at 8 so we could start exploring the city and didn't waste the day. The flat itself is really nice and clean. The rooftop terrace view is stunning and especially in summer it must be a great place for barbecuing or just hanging out. Broadway and Times Square are within a walking distance of approximately 10 minutes. The closest metro station is about 5 minutes away.

Overall I can recommend Marty's apartment without any constraints.

We were a group of 3 people visiting New York for Christmas shopping, sightseeing, and long party nights. With Marty's apartment, we found the perfect place. No hotel could offer us comparable service for this price. Above all, however, the size is above average compared to the broom chambers that the hotels sell as rooms.

The apartment is furnished to a high standard and very clean. There is enough space for 4 people and plenty of suitcases. A person will take care of the key handover and help you if necessary. The new kitchen has everything you need. Especially the dishwasher is a time-saving bonus. Even extra requests were fulfilled. There was a big bouquet of roses to welcome you. Wow Marty's details match 100%.

The neighborhood is quiet, yet you still live right in the middle of it. Time Square, the Broadway theaters, a wide range of restaurants, and many other leisure options are within a few minutes’ walk. We did almost everything on foot and had a great time in Hell's Kitchen. Thank you so much, Marty, for making this possible.

The apartment was great and perfectly matched the description on the Airbnb site. We felt at home and we particularly enjoyed the bottle of wine with the two glasses, the bouquet of roses and the apples. The view from the rooftop terrace is fabulous. We will come back in summer to be able to enjoy it a little more (it was a little cold to stay there for a long time and we had so many things to visit…) The apartment is very well located. Everything was exactly as seen on the pictures and the manual and the guidelines, which Marty sent us via mail were very helpful to check in properly. Communication was very easy through Facebook and I can recommend this place like everyone else here in this comment section. The place is just right on the Copacabana and it is on the twelve floor, which is easy to access with on of three elevators.

If you look for a well situated place in a safe area in Rio with a well equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom and toilet and a good movie selection for rainy days, just do not look further and choose this place to have a safe heaven for your future exploration of Rio de Janeiro.

From the moment we stepped into the apartment, we felt as though we were home. The apartment was spotless, and we was beautifully furnished. Leading up to our arrival, Marty was extremely helpful with organising our stay, and provided us with useful tips for our time in New York. The apartment was a perfect size for the two of us, and had everything that we needed to make ourselves feel at home in a new city. The location was perfect for those wanting to stay in the heart of Manhattan. The apartment is a few blocks away from Times Square, and close to subway stations (5-10 minute walk). The neighbourhood was safe (we were 2 girls) and were comfortable walking around after-hours. All in all, our first experience with AirBNB was better than we ever imagined. If you are looking at locking a great place down, don't hesitate with this apartment – it's perfect!

Amazing experience! The apartment is super charming and comfortable. Everything was tidy and clean, the view from the rooftop is fabulous, either during the day or evening. Rachel, a friend's host, helped us with the checkin, she is very friendly and polite. Unfortunately I didn't meet the hosts bc they were traveling but I am looking forward to meeting them next time in NYC or here in Brazil. Marty was great even if we had not the luck to meet each other. We contacted him at every hour and hé answer very fast each time. The apartment was similar as the picture, no surprise…very very good. Apartment with quality inside, 10 min by foot from time square (3 blocks). Subway 2 blocks. Neighboorhood quiet and safe. Highly recomanded for the apartment and the owner!!

In order to best explain my stay at Marty's house, I'm going to do it in Spanish. I spent 9 amazing days at Marty's house, he really is an amazing host. He is always attentive to the needs you have and willing to solve any kind of problem. I can say that the apartment has absolutely EVERYTHING you need, even the unimaginable. Regarding the amenities and the WONDERFUL VIEW!!! There's not much more to add than what's already been said. I will definitely stay at Marty's house again if I go back to Rio and I would also definitely stay in the Miami or Manhattan apartments.

It started with our initial contact: Marty is genuinely kind and friendly. Marty & Anthony were at the door to welcome us upon our arrival with a nice glass of wine on the roofdeck. Beautiful! Their apt was exactly as pictured and was well-equipped. We like to have coffee/breakfast before venturing out. Their tiny kitchen was better equipped than other much larger ones I've stayed at. The bed was comfy & the closet and dresser had ample room for our belongings. The building itself is secure, well maintained. The apt location is perfect for getting around: 3 blocks from the subway, cabs easy to get either at 10th or 11th streets. We walked to the Highline, to 42nd St, to the MOMA etc., and once we rented a car, it is the easiest location to access Lincoln Tunnel. There are several really good bodegas within just 2 blocks and so many bar/restaurant options as well. I've had many wonderful trips to NYC, but this may be the best!

We stayed at Marty's place for almost a week and we loved it. He was very helpful with tips and info both on the place and things one could do in Rio. The apartment has a lovely view by the oceanfront and is only a few minutes walk from Ipamena. There's easy access to everywhere; you may grab a taxi right in front of the apartment and pop to fancy Leblon for a dinner and drinks. And as Marty writes in the apt's description there's a rich movie library, if you're tired from a long day at the beach or sightseeing. Best thing: sleeping with slightly open window and listening to the waves!

This was our first NY and Airbnb experience and both turned out so succesful! Marty's apt. is a terrific stylish place from which you easily can discover Manhattan by foot or with the subway from 50th street (two blocks away). The roof top terrace with the stunning views adds definitely to the pleasure! All communication with Marty before and during our trip was perfectly fine. Although we have not met in person, it felt so. We had a great week in the Big Apple and we can recommend this fully equipped Hell's Kitchen apt. to anyone who likes comfort and style.

Lovely and colourful apartment!! Infront of Copacabana beach, you just need to cross an avenue to step on the sand. The apartment is full equiped, great shower, and my favourite, the window with the greatest view from the beach! Diogo, the manager, was very kind, and answerd to all our questions. Thank you Marty and Diogo for everything, we had a great stay, and we'll definetely stay there next time!!

Fantastic location, only some steps from the famous attractions of Manhattan and Subway. the apartment is nice, towels (in big number) and sheets was perfectly clean. Marty is a great host, always answered me in some hours. I recomend Marty's apartment if you want have great time in NYC!!!

We have been in Marty's NY apartment for 10 days. I think his apartment is the best place to stay when you are visiting New York! Times Square, Central Park, Top of the Rock, Empire State Building and many more attractions are within an easy walking distance. In addition you can find a lot of good restaurants nearby – e.g. at 9th Avenue.

The apartment is gorgeous and the rooftop is such a beautiful place. Exploring the city for hours and hours can be very exhausting. Stay at his rooftop, enjoy the breathtaking view at the skyline and sunset as well and just relax. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment. We had plenty of communication with the owner in advance – the house manual was really helpful and the views from the apartment are just as you see on the photo – you can sit and people-watch for hours. Highly recommended.

Staying with Marty and Anthony was a true delight. I haven't used Airbnb before, so I had a lot of concerns regarding the functionality about the site. But Anthony and Marty proved to be the sweetest, kind and comfortable people to arrange with. I can easily recommend other to rent one of M&A’s beautiful homes. Thank you, the both of you, for being a part of my fantastic trip to Miami.

We had an awesome time in New York, and staying in Marty's place was a huge part of why it was such a good time. Marty was a very helpful and considerate host who we got to know when we arrived – so easy going and fun. He was also very accessible and easy to get in contact with if we needed anything, doing everyting he could to make our stay easy. He even left some drinks for us in the fridge.

The apartment was perfect – in a great location in Hells Kitchen near tons of bars, cafes and restuarants and the Gotham West Market. The place was so nice, clean and spacious. It was a joy to come home to after a long day wandering the streets of Manhatten. The apartment is on the sixth floor, so the elevator came in very handy. And, of course, the rooftop terrace was amazing, a real highlight of the trip.

We would stay there again in an instant and would recommend it to anyone, it would surely add to any trip to NYC.

Marty was fantastic at communicating prior to my trip to Rio – he really helped in getting me acclimated to the city before even stepping foot in Brazil. He described the neighborhood accurately and connected with his friends who would offer assistance if I needed anything. The apartment is a large studio and it was quite perfect for close friends. The location was marvelous, the views are as pictured. The neighborhood is surrounded by taxis, banks, cafes, grocery stores, so you can easily find whatever you need.

He was always available if I had any questions and wanted to make sure you had a great stay in Rio. Marty had great recommendations and I would highly recommend a stay here just based on the attentiveness you will receive.

The appartement in Miami was perfect! So close to the beach and the nightlife. But also very qiet and in a beautiful neighbourhood. The kitchen was perfect for us, we used the oven for snacks and others. Marty and Anthony were great hosts. All requests were answered immediately by Marty and he was extremely helpful. ***Top*** Even when we were in New York, they invited me and my girlfriend to see their appartement with a great skyline-view to NY. THAT WAS AWESOME!!! We had a great time in Miami.

Marty war sehr zuvorkommend, bei Fragen hat er uns stets geholfen. ***Top*** Bei unserem Besuch in NY empfingen uns Marty und Anthony auf deren Dachterrasse mit Blick auf New Yorks Skyline. Die Aussicht war fantaschtisch. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Miami.

Marty and Anthony's place is amazing! We were blown away when we arrived and couldn't stop staring out the window! The location is absolutely perfect, right on Copacabana and within an easy walk to Ipanema. It is right across from the SUP places on Copacabana, which was lots of fun to try. You wake up to the view, drink your coffee with the view, and go to bed with the view. It does not get old. The apartment itself was very well furnished with all that you could need during your stay. Thanks again and we hope to be back!

Great stay at Marty and Anthony's place! Perfect for our needs. Marty is a great host – warm and accommodating. The apartment was perfect in a great area with amenities close by. The Skyline Deli is fantastic and a block away. Great running path nearby at the Greenway. Hope to stay here again.

FIVE STARS! This was a romantic getaway for me and my girlfriend, and we could not have been happier. Marty was tremendously helpful, we chatted several times as he worked with me to find a place when my original request was not available. He told me everything i needed to know about his apartment. It was gorgeous, the pics do not even do justice to the incredible interior decorating. Perfect location, a 5-minute walk to the beach. Right near the action part of SoBe, yet its on a quiet street. There is a washer and dryer available, which is just so handy for a long beach vacation. My girlfriend was skeptical of AirBnb, but thanks to this experience she is converted and will never stay in a hotel again.

We had a great time. The apartment was great and the view to die for. Great location right in the middle between Copacabana and Ipanema. The big decision of the day is … left to Copacabana or right to Ipanema. Best places include Coffee shop in the Fort on the right (between Copa and Ipanema) good coffee great view, Fort on the other side of Copa great view of Copa and Sugarloaf (a bit of a hike), House of Feijoada (a few block away) great Feijoada (Brazil native dish) and Maraquja (Passion Fruit) Caipirinha :).

Thing to do: Get up early and see the sunrise over Copacabana right from your apartment .. breathtaking, rent a bike .. ride along the beaches and hang out … sun, surf and Caipirinhas everywhere, stop by the exercise stations along the beaches and workout … or maybe not, join one of the many volley balls games or just watch, try the paddle board (do it early, it gets rougher later in the day), Hike to the top of the fort … enjoy the hike is part of the fun, go to the overlook at the end of Ipanema beach … for me … the best view.

Marty and Anthony were great hosts. They greeted us with a drink in hand, took the time to explain us, and were regularly reachable to check in. We really felt at home in the apartment. Ok thanks. The apartment is very nice and comfortable. We like the duplex side and above all, of course, the rooftop with a breathtaking view, especially at night. The neighborhood is very well located, very close to time square, Broadway and central park, but on a very quiet street, so restful at night. Like everywhere in NY, there are plenty of cool restaurants in the neighborhood. We recommend the Nook on 8th Avenue. We have to bring your wine, but you can take it a little further up the wine shop and liquors run by French speakers. So nothing to say, you can go there with your eyes closed, but you have to think about opening them on the rooftop.

Our stay at Marty's apartment was fantastic. It's not a lie, the view is really spectacular ! It was a shock when we arrived and we saw the panorama. It put us directly in the mood.

And Marty is an adorable host, who was always reachable when we had a request.

If I come back to Rio, no doubt, I will try to stay again at Marty's apartment.

My family (husband & 2 boys) and I stayed two weeks in the apartment. It was indeed a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic. It's close to all attractions ie Times Square, Central Park, Hudson River etc… It has all amenities needed. Also deli stores & laundry service v close by. The host Marty was so kind & responsive. He also gave us some good tips regarding NY. I would definitely stay there again.

Barty and Anthony are nothing but professional and bring top notch customer service in a country where it is lacking tremendously (you will find out during your visit). From day 1 when I emailed Marty, we spoke on the phone and he made me feel completely comfortable with the process since I have not used Airbnb ever. As we arrived the apartment was perfect and the views, BREATHTAKING! We were put in touch with Diogo the property manager who is a local from Rio and was able to answer all questions we had. All in all I would def stay there again and utilize Marty and Anthony!

I cannot say enough about Marty!! He communicated so well and was so sweet in email and phone. We have stayed at so many airbnb's and he is an outrageously awesome and helpful host. The place is also great. As semi-frequent visitors to South Beach, you will never find anything this good for less. It is small, but well-designed to leave adequate space for your things and yourself. Everything was spotless and there was everything you could need in the kitchen. There was work being done on and around the building, but it never disturbed us. The location is priceless. And again, Marty and Anthony and really the best. They even left us a gift for our arrival!! Highly recommend staying at their place,

Marty and Anthony have been great hosts for our stay in New York! The apartment was clean and everything we needed was there (hairdryer, towels, linen, etc.). Everything was very well organized and we didn't have to worry about keys, luggage or anything else. His support in advance and during our stay was great, he answered to all of our questions immediately. The recommendations are very good, we've had fabulous lunch and dinner! I'm looking forward to meeting Marty and Anthony again and I'll absolutely recommend the apartment to everyone who wants to have a good time in New York 🙂

Marty’s apartment is well located; just a few minutes’ walk to Times Square, Columbus Circle, Central Park, and subway’s stations. Marty is a kind person and, most of the time, ready to answer e-mail and texts. However, few things can be improved. First of all, it is announced as a 4 person apartment, but nothing is said that fourth person has to sleep in an air mattress. The futon is not for two persons; teenage kids cannot comfortably share it. By the way, leader’s seams are broke in many places. We experienced problems with cleanliness upon arrival. The furniture was covered by dust, apparently due to windows left open during a windy afternoon, so we have to start our visit to NY cleaning dust. The day after our arrival, Marty sent again a person to complete the cleaning. However, she told us that cleaning the oven requires a “cleaning technician”, so the oven remained greasy, as well as dishes, plates, glasses, forks, knifes, etc. I recognize it is last guest responsibility to leave them clean. However, upon our arrival, the dishwasher was broke; we had been promised that a technician will come soon to fix it. However, we left the apartment, after 12 days stay, waiting for him. Perhaps, it is the reason why we found plates and dishes greasy. I humbly think that perhaps Marty’s management of the condition of the apartment, and mentioned problems, it is not as close as it should be, since he told us that he was at Rio since few months ago. Dear Marty; please do not feel uncomfortable with my remarks, because they are not stated to make you feel uncomfortable, but to let you have the opportunity to improve. You have a confortable, nicely decorated and well located apartment for 3 people, and one additional guest in an air mattress, but, in my modest opinion, you have the chance to enhance few things. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC who wants a clean, spacious, central and friendly place to stay! Marty was extremely helpful and gracious. My friend and I had the opportunity to meet him on our last day there and he is just as wonderful in person as he is via e-mail and phone calls prior to our stay. This guy cares about his guests. He's a first class fellar with a first class place!

This was our first trip to New York and the location of this apt was perfect – close to Times Square, Broadway shows, Central Park and many fantastic restaurants. Loved the fact that there was a guest book in the apt that we could read and get further recommendations on restaurants etc. Some of the furniture was pretty old and not too comfortable but we were in the room so little that it didn't really matter. Also, with the apt on the second floor, there was plenty of street noise (car's honking, large trucks for the Red Cross building across the street and lots of partiers going by on the Friday and Saturday nights in particular). This took some getting used to but we were so tired from the long days walking everywhere that we managed to get some sleep. New York was a blast and this was a perfect location for seeing all the sights.

We loved our stay at Marty and Anthony's! Their home is impeccable, well-located, and just perfect for our stay in NYC. It was great to stay in a neighborhood and explore the local delis, restaurants, etc. Marty was very responsive to all questions I had before, during, and after our stay. I will definitely book with them again when I return to NYC.

Words can describe the AMAZING time I had at Marty & Anthony's Euclid Ave. apartment. Marty was so easy to work with from the very beginning!!! Once I arrived to the apartment, everything was set up in the beautiful place. Easy access and a VERY quiet building. There was plenty of space and VERY well kept!! If you're ever in the Miami/South Beach area, please look them up!! I promise you won't be disappointed. Location was PERFECT — 2 blocks from Washington Ave. with amazing shopping, eating, and nightlife. And you're only 4 blocks from the beach! The street is quiet and not a whole 'lot of activity which makes it easy in and out. I'm looking forward to using Marty & Anthony's place again in the future!!! Run, don't walk, to make a reservation!!! I don't think I'll EVER stay with friends or in a hotel again after such an amazing stay!!! Thank you Marty/Anthony for opening up your wonderful place to me!!!

Marty's apartment is awesome, he was so helpful and thoughtful during the reservation process and answers every question. Once we got there everything was perfect. The location of the apartment is the best, walking distance form every mayor spot of the city as well as a little out of the tourist waves, which makes it perfect if you're looking for a real new yorker experience. On last minute notice we got an additional guest and Marty was really helpful with the arrangements. Thanks again Marty 🙂

Had an awesome 5-day stay in this studio, it was clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and the location is simply ideal. Communication with the host was easy and efficient. Would certainly stay again, and recommend without hesitation.

We have stayed for one month in this beautifull apartment. The flat is situated right on the beach and is very well equipped. The owner Anthony is very nice and helpfull person. We would reccomend to everybody who would like to enjoy a peacefull holidays right on the beach in Miami !!!

What can I say..! I could not ask for more. The view from Marty's place is indeed spectacular. Those moments spent at Marty's place enjoying the view of Copacabana and the Sugarloaf…will be one of those memories that cannot be forgotten. It is not a 5 star luxury accommodation, but the view is something that you might not even be able to get at a 5 star hotel! We were not thinking about using much of the kitchen facility since we were not planning to cook but in the end we just had to because we had the most beautiful restaurant with a fantastic view right there with us, which was Marty's place.! We just enjoyed every minute and every second there and in the end extended our stay for a couple more days. Nothing much to mention on the facilities. Everything worked and nothing to complain about. Even IF there had been some small problems, it wouldn't have mattered much to us since the view made up for all the minor problems! It's very conveniently located to enjoy both areas of Copacabana and Ipanema. Many supermarkets in less than 5 min walking distance. We didn't have a chance to meet Marty in person but we knew that he was such an open-minded and friendly person from the way he communicated with us via e-mail and telephone. Now, we just cannot wait to get a chance to go back to Rio and hopefully Marty's apartment will be available for us then.

I was at this apartment in January, just came back to Russia. Everything was perfect, Marty is a very nice person, he came and show me everything and could help me with everything. The building is clean with nice neighbors. About apartments. It's really very clean, stylish and fully equipped. You can feel yourself so comfortable there. Just amazing place to stay in miami. The studio was the perfect place to spend a long holiday weekend. It had everything that we could have possibly needed. Although the weather was too cold to go in the pool or ocean, I can imagine that it would have been perfect to have everything right there for us. The apt. is within walking distance to many restaurants and bars, but just far enough off the main strip (about a block) so that it was quiet. Marty/Anthony were a pleasure to deal with and were quick to respond to our questions and concerns. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Miami Beach!

Amazing view, great location with everything you need inside and in the neighborhood.

Even if my favorite areas where Leblon and Santa Tereza, I was always happy to be back to Copacabana mostly for the apartment itself.

The host Marty is a pro. Delivering what's promised, answering in a quick and concise way, friendly, gentle and subtle.

I prolonged my stay there because I just felt well there.

Best moment: the fresh breeze coming from the sea caressing my bed. Tip: when flushing keep your hand on the button for a while. Plus: very secure place.

We were in Marty's apartment for 5 days as a family and it's great. The view from the 12th floor is spectacular. Very good location, facing the sea, on Copacabana Beach and a few blocks from Arpoador and Ipanema beaches. Diogo (Marty's friend in Rio) is very hospitable and helps with whatever you need. I would go back to that apartment 100 times!!! We loved it!! Pablo and Flia.

We had such and awesome time in South Beach…completely fell in love with the place. We also had the pleasure of meeting Marty and Anthony in person – they are a fantastic couple. Whilst initially making the reservation, communication with Marty went incredibly smoothly – he's very responsive and helpful. And the apartment itself is great 🙂 The location really is unbeatable – it's right on the beach, has a lovely pool, and is within close vicinity of everything the best of South Beach has to offer. Do not hesitate to book this apartment.

Our family spent four days celebrating new year in NYC at Marty's perfect apartment. It is located very close to Time Square, but just at the right distance to be able to sleep and relax after hectic intense days visiting the city. The apartment is cozy, clean and pleasant to stay for a company of maximum 4 persons. Best of all is the private roofterrace on the sixth floor. We spent there every night admiring the NY skyline (as long as we could resist the cold!). Marty takes good care of you and makes sure that everything is there for you to have a wonderful time. If and when we revisit NY, we will come back to this apartment. Thank you Marty.

My sister and I enjoyed out stay in Rio. Marty was very attentive and involved in making sure all was well for check-in. He helped connect me with another wonderful group of people that were checking in the day we were checking out. I ended up hanging out with them New Year's Eve:)

We had the best holiday ever staying at Marty and Anthony's place. It was the perfect place to base ourselves out of during our stay. We walked to Central Park, Time Square, Rockefeller Center and much more. The apartment is very nice and clean and the rooftop view is amazing. Marty suggested some great places to eat, if you want a great cheap meal, try the new food king Chinese Restaurant for some takeout and eat it up on the roof deck 🙂 It was our 1st ever trip to NYC and we will never forget it. Our stay in New York at marty and anthony's house was absolutely perfect!!The location is unbeatable,the neighborhood has many restaurants and places to go and it's a Quiet area at bedtime. The clean SoBe Ocean Dr studio is in a great location, right by the beach. A nice quiet place with good restaurants nearby. Communication with Marty was very good.

I spent nearly three months in Marty&Anthony's apt in Miami Beach. Wonderful apt with modern furniture, well decorated with attention to details and provided with all the essentials (microwave, dishwasher, towels, cleaning products). Perfect location near the beach and very close to restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Marty has been really helpful since I contacted him for the very first time. We kept in touch for the whole period and he promptly answered all my questions. I had a wonderful time in Miami and in this beautiful apt! I do hope to come back soon! Marty's place was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay. We stayed there for 5 nights and enjoyed breakfast and coffee by the window/view each morning, which was the best part about it. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and welcoming in every way. Everything we needed was there. It is also in a safe part of town within walking distance to beautiful beaches and restaurants. Everywhere else is easily accessible by cab (Corcovado, Sugarloaf, airport, etc). Marty was also extremely friendly and easy to communicate with. If you are looking for a place to stay in Rio, this is by far the best! Highly recommended!

Marty and Anthony's efficiency on Copacabana did indeed provides a beautiful view of the beach and was just as described in the ads. Marty was an excellent host who communicated with us regularly, even providing some personal tips on what to see and do on this, our second trip to Rio. The unit is well located and offers easy walking access to most of Copacabana and the Ipanema-Leblon beaches. Some excellent restaurant fare is nearby, as are small groceries for those undertaking some light cooking in the apartment. Good access to bus and subway system and a laundry in the downstairs Galeria facilitated the stay. We would highly recommend this apartment to others. Thanks Marty.

A delightful space from which to explore all that South Beach has to offer. Everything was as described, the apartment was spotless and provided all the essentials. Me and a friend stayed for 5 days in the Miami apartment and it was just as on the pictures! It was beautiful, clean and new! It was a pleasure staying there since it also had a perfect location! Just behind the building was the incredible beautiful beach. Also all bars and restaurants were just so close but still you didnt notice anything of the noise outside. Miami is so crazy and so much fun!!! I would rent this apartment anytime again! Thanks so much for everything!

I spent 4 nights at this studio apartment overlooking Copacabana Beach. The location is excellent for Rio, the view from the apartment is spectacular. The apartment itself is very cosy and functional. Marty is great to communicate with and is very prompt with his responses. I loved the sea breeze and sound of the waves 🙂

Perfect position, host and apartment. Would definitely stay there again. The only down side was the noise from all the surrounding construction but other than that its a perfect spot.

The Appartment is great Deal. The Oceanview and the location at Copacabana beach is just amazing. You get a view everyone will be jealous about 😉 And falling assleep to the sound of the ocean waves is a nice to have. We had the luck to stay a week in their lovely apartment in Miami, South Beach before. Marty and Anthony are great hosts, they will make sure you enjoy your stay 🙂

Great place to stay, location is right on the beach. The apartment has been renovated, and is really cute! The building itself is a little run down, but inside is really nice, and has everything you need. Marty and Anthony were excellent hosts, they got right back in touch to answer questions. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a good place to stay in South Beach.

We had a great time in Marty’s apartment! It was very, very clean and quite spacious for a one-bedroom apartment (there were two of us staying there, and we had plenty of room). The kitchen was well equipped (including full size fridge), and there was lots of drawers and hanging space for clothes (and souvenirs!), which was really useful for a longer stay. Location is great for Times Square/Broadway. We also walked to Central Park, and as far south as Bleecker Street quite easily! We were in NYC for two weeks and saw fourteen shows, and every theatre was less than 20 minutes walking distance. We felt safe and secure in the apartment (it’s on the second floor with double security entrance). It was occasionally a bit noisy, but the windows block out most of the street noise, and it certainly didn’t disturb our sleep (though we were pretty exhausted…!). Marty was an excellent host, responded quickly and in detail to all of our questions, and was friendly and approachable all the time (via email, phone and text). This was our first Air BNB experience – and it was FANTASTIC!

We had a wonderful time in New York. The apartment is beautiful with absolutely everything you need and a beautiful view of Manhattan and the Hudson only a couple of blocks from times square.Marti is a wonderful host always available when needed. I highly recommend this place.

We were in Marty's apartment for 8 days in September. It was our first time in Rio. The apartment is like on the foto: beautifully decorated, with all the necessary amenities and a truly spectacular view. In our trip we stayed in 1 hotel in Iguasu and 1 more apartment in Rio (for 1 night after trip to Iguasu). But after Marty's place we didn't like others! I would like to say thanks a lot to Marty for his help and welcome. He is the best!) We had a great vacations in Rio! And most part of it – Marty's apartment. I hope I will return one day. And especially big thanks for map of Rio on the desk! As it turned out it was the most important thing for our trip and we didn't think about it)

We had a truly wonderful stay in Rio. Beautiful apartment with the most breathtaking view, in a perfect location. We loved being able to walk out of the building right onto the beach! Marty was a pleasure, and his guide to the city was a huge help in finding places to eat and things to do. We can't wait to go back!!!

We absolutely loved loved the apartment. Everything was as described and pictured and the location was awesome. A major rail station / line was just over two blocks away, but we ended up walking quite a bit, including a walk along the Hudson River all the way down to the 9/11 Memorial. In less than a day, we were referring to the apartment as "home" and I especially loved how we became increasingly familiar to the deli's and corner drug stores in the Hell's Kitchen Neighborhood. We kinda started feeling like locals, in our own minds anyway! We will definitely look to stay here again during future visits. Marty was great at communicating before and during our stay and provided a book of instructions and recommendations which was very helpful.

For those us not familiar with sleeping in the big city with window AC units, the traffic and AC may seem a bit loud at first. Either I got use to it very quickly or the bed was just that comfortable! I had some very restful nights and late mornings sleeping in.

The location of this place is really good.directly at the ocean drive and the beach,everything in walking distance.

Perfect location, amazing view. Perfect for 2 persons, and good for 4 too. We stayed there with our daughter and it was great. Marty was always very polite and helpful. Maybe the only drawback was that the the mattress wasn´t the most confortable one. Anyway, overall, very very good experience. You´ll be in the heart of copacabana, steps away from Ipanema and sorounded by bars, restaurants, lanchonetes, and places to buy anything you may need for your stay.

Thanks to Marty and Anthony, our trip was absolutely fabulous ! The studio was so cute and really comfortable. Spending one week there was great, great location on Ocean Drive and just at 2 min from the Ocean ! The swimming pool was really nice, jaccuzy didn't work but it didn't matter, the ocean was really hot and the swimming pool ! We've spend an amazing week there thanks to our host ! Thank you again Marty and Anthony, we'll definitely come back in SoBe !!

From the beginning, Marty was friendly, quick to respond to my questions and gave some awesome advice, like advising to walk to Fort Leme for spectacular views without the crowds, of both Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf at the same time. The kitchen was small, but suited us to a T. We had no plans of cooking! We were in the middle of copacabana with views the same as the people paying thousands of dollars at copocobana palace for the privilege. We fell asleep to sound of the ocen and woke to a sunrise to die for!!!!!

Apart from the great location, fantastic pool and direct access to the beach, the best part about this SoBe flat is Marty, the host. He made sure the apartment was very clean and tended to all of our needs. He really has an eye for detail and we felt welcomed and very much at home in this tiny little flat. I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks again Marty!

Great apartment well located: just a short walk to reach Times Square and various metro stations. Marty, the owner, is so nice! You will feel immediately comfortable and will enjoy your stay in Manhattan. We were so lucky to have made this reservation for a week. My sister and I had an amazing time in New York. Marty and Anthony's are really great people, they gave us a few tips on where to go and had a cute little guide booklet that helped us out too. The location was delightful, we walked to times square and shopping. Would definitely stay again 🙂

Marty is a very generous person, that gave us lots of good advices about organization before and during our stay in NYC. He welcomed us so kindly and even proposed us to watch the sunset from the roof ! We had a great time in Rio with Marty. The view is incredible and the place was sparkling clean when we arrived. Marty is ease to reach and aways friendly and polite. Wonderful experience.

We are a french family with two teenagers and we spent 6 days in Marty's apartment. We appreciated very much this stay. Marty's apartment is very well located in the center of Manhattan.Very safe and nice neighborhood. The apartment is exactly as described in the presentation, spacious, cosy and clean. Marty and Antony are very nice people. Marty welcomed us and gave us many advices about wi-fi, restaurants, shops and things to do in New York. We would be happy to stay in Marty's apartment again when we come back to New York.

Marty was very helpful during the pre-arrival process. He was kind, helpful, thoughful, and made me feel like I was working with an old friend. He provided us with all of the information we needed for us to have a smooth check-in. The keys are kept in a lockbox, as is customary for South Beach rentals. Marty also provided a helpful guidebook, and I thoroughly enjoyed his tip to go for a dip a couple of hours before sunset to enjoy the beautifully colored sky as the sun set in the evening.

The location was absolutely perfect. We were right in the mix of everything–the best shops, supermarkets, restaurants, nightlife, public transportation, rental bikes, etc. However, we were just outside of the part of Ocean where you get pestered by restaurant door women and club promoters. Instead, we were able to take advantage of beach access immediately behind us, which is a true rarity in SoBe, even on Ocean Dr. On top of all of this convenience, they even have a coin washer and dryer on the same floor just a mere two doors down.

The apartment itself was charming and very clean. I felt so good seeing that the place was absolutely spotless. The condo was exactly as photographed–small, but with everything we needed and not an inch of wasted space and without the least bit of clutter. You can tell that a great deal of thought went into the placement of the items in the room and the functionality of it all. The various storage options available to us were very much appreciated. The apartment actually looked just like an Ikea show room, but felt very homey. Thank you, Marty for all of the thought and love you put into the space.

My one complaint was the bed. I would rent this condo again in a heartbeat, even rent this condo exclusively for my yearly Miami trips, were it not for the mattress. The very worn mattress just didn't even fit with anything else. I don't at all expect luxury at this price point, but the mattress was actually worse than my dorm mattresses in college. There was no padding and the springs were poking up (not through the top) all over the place. It was so uncomfortable that I even contemplated leaving and taking the loss on the money, but the location was so wonderful. I just slept on top of the pillows. Everything else was absolutely perfect.

I really enjoyed my stay at Marty and Anthony’s place. It was a last minute reservation and Marty really made me comfortable as this was my first time using AirBnB. Their place looks exactly like the pictures and even better, (as stated) they are super close to beach. Marty was an enormous help on answering any questions and gives great insight regarding best restaurants, places to visit, ect. I would absolutely recommend this place and hope to visit again.

My first experience with Airbnb couldn’t be more perfect! After looking for weeks I finally found Marty’s studio and it was the perfect place for me. We spent almost an entire week in Marty's apartment and what can I say, we simply loved it. First time experience with rent apartment BUT so positive!!! All what is said by Marty in apartment's description is 100% accurate. Very cozy apartment at the second floor has everything what you need for short or long holiday or business trip. House is nice and very safe, good neighbors :). Location is super – we use only once a metro (to visit friends at 181st street) – for all other activities – only walking. Once we've walked from jazz club at B'way at saturday night about 01 a.m. and I feel even more safe there than at some more officially "safe" cities. You have everything near by. Marty met us at the time of arrival at the apartment, shows all details, explain what and how works at the apartment, gave us superb personal recommendations concerning dining, laundry and etc. Bottom line – will definitely stay with Marty again and recommend this apartment to our friends.

I booked this trip for my boyfriend's birthday. We spent a lovely vacation here. In general, this apartment is exactly as shown in the picture. The room is clean, and furniture is in good condition. They have everything we need, from cookware to iron and hair drier. We think this building used to be a hotel building, double loaded corridor, and not all the rooms have ocean view. The building itself is not as new. But its location is perfect. Close to restaurants and beach. Marty is really kind and helpful. We chat before the trip. His recommendation was a good starting point for us.

Marty and Anthony need 100000 stars!! The location is perfect, quiet and near good restaurants. The studio was clean and very pratical, we really appreciated our short stay, we will for sure come back again. And Marty?oh my god he is so nice and easy to reach, available and ready to help! First and foremost, the apartment is just as described and depicted! The view is amazing and the apartment has a lot of charm to it. It is located in a fantastic area settled between Copacabana and Ipanema. Marty was incredibly helpful and responsive in answering whatever questions we had from before the reservation was made all the way up until arrival. He even contacted us during our stay to make sure everything was as expected. I highly recommend this apartment and using Marty as a host!!

We had a great stay in Rio in Marty's apartment. The location is perfect, this apartment has a really magnificent view! We liked it a lot. It's close to the bus stop, so it's very easy to get everywhere you want. Copacabana is just across the street. Thanks for such a wonderful chance to enjoy Rio!

First, Marty is an amazingly friendly and generous host. He spent over an hour with my wife and me in person, and gave us a personal, practical, list of local restaurants, clubs, places to see amazing views, safe ATM machines, places to avoid, etc. He even recommended a guide for us. As advertised, the apartment sports incredible views of the beach and Sugar Loaf. It's in a great location — across the street from Copacabana Beach — but is also only a few blocks from the Arpoador area and Ipanema Beach, and a short walk to the Lagoon area, the hippie market, etc. The apartment was clean, bright, and plenty comfortable. Highly recommended.

We had a great trip to South Beach, and the apartment is just as it appears online. It is clean, cute, and very efficient. Marty was so responsive to all of my questions, and the entire process was very smooth. The neighborhood is fantastic, and the place is on a beautiful stretch of beach. I would definitely return!

The view is truly astonishing. You can go in this place for this only reason. One drawback : the flat is noisy due to the street.

A wonderful stay in a great midtown apartment. The apartment is a great size, it's very clean and comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. We're both tall (and sizeable) folks but the bed was large enough and we both slept really well. The best part was the fantastic roof terrace which is an added bonus overlooking the skyline and the Hudson. A real surprise and great for a post day trip, pre night activities chill out

Me and my husband, we stayed for 7 nights at Marty and Anthony's apartment. We loved our stay for every reason. The apartment was very clean and smelling fresh upon our arrival and just as pictured. We were presented with a wine bottle on the fridge which was really nice of Marty and Anthony, althought we don't drink (and I forgot to THANK YOU so much for that attention Marty, and I am sorry for not ever remembering to thank you). I always wrote to Marty about everything and he was always so quick to anwering me and giving me all the tips for good bars and restaurants (even in New York where we were before going to Miami). I mentioned to Marty that the toaster was not working just for the record and there was Anthony the very next day with a new one for us. This was really nice of him and we thank you for it. The apartment is just in the middle of everything, near all the great places without beeing in the middle of the noise and the confusion. Not to mention that the beach is just two steps away from the building which makes the apartment so well placed. It was great to go to the beach in the morning and be able to go home for a quick lunch and then back to the beach without loosing all that time. Overall, we loved the experience and we thank you Marty and Anthony for the great apartment you have and for making our visit to Miami a great one. We hope to visit NY, Miami or Rio de Janeiro again one of these years and we will defenetly contact you again. XOXO

This studio was absolutely perfect for my vacation to Miami. It is the most well designed space you will ever see. It is pretty, bright and very practical. The kitchen area has everything I need to cook up a quick meal at home before an exciting day/night out on the town. And don't worry about doing the dishes, as this place even has a dishwasher! Thanks to the well thought out closet and other storage solutions both myself and my travel mate were able to completely unpack and live like residents. We didn't want to leave!

Marty and Anthony also provided us with key local information about where to eat, drink, dance and how to navigate the town using local transportation.

The studio alone is a 5 star space that is beautiful, quite and convenient, but the hosts, Marty and Anthony make it a 10 star experience. Thank you so much for making this trip complete. I can't wait to stay with you guys again!

Marty and Anthony were really helpful and were always accessible via email for any queries that we had. The apartment is in a perfect location, was exactly how it looks in the photo's and was clean, tidy and well stocked. We had a really fantastic time in South Beach and would definitely visit again and stay here. Amazing place!

Marty & Anthony's South Beach Studio was the perfect place to stay for a quick get-a-way to the beach. It was very neat & clean, very efficient & functional, and absolutely darling. The apartment is right on the beach and it's easy to walk a block or 2 for morning coffee, amazing brunch, cocktails, shopping… Thanks M&A!

Wonderful hosts, helpful and communicative; I couldn't have asked for better. The place itself has a terrific location right on the beach with a nice pool area. Unfortunately, we were there during a cold spell and didnt' get to use the pool, plus the hot tub was under construction which was a big bummer on those cool nights we would have liked to use it. Though small (standard hotel room sized), the apartment is clean and well equipped with a comfortable double bed and nice shower…. The apartment does have a bit of a weird smell, much stronger in the hallway, I think from all the humidity in the air.

A clean room at an excellent location! Marty and Anthony were great with communication and although we didn't get the chance to meet face to face, their replies were always detailed, thorough and friendly. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 4 nights at this place, in February 2013. Our overall experience was good but there are a few drawbacks. Here's a short list of pros and cons:

Pro ++ The location is most excellent. It literally takes only 3 minutes to walk to the beach. Also, the Ocean Drive restaurants and bars are within walking distance. ++ Communication with Marty has been outstanding. He always replied promptly, and to the point. + Overall the place seemed clean. (Perhaps not "deep" clean, as we had encountered a few ants during our stay.) + The bed is quite comfortable, and large enough for two people. There's also a big selection of cushions and pillows.

Neutral o The place is relatively quiet – you don't hear anything from the restaurants and bars, but occasionally you can hear some noise from the hallway or the parking lot in front of the window o Speaking of cars: If you have a car, be aware that parking in the streets is 1.75 per hour, and you can only buy parking tickets for the current day (ticket required between 9am-3am) o The fridge and/or stove emanate a lot of heat, so you need the AC even when it's mild temperatures outside

Con – The building itself is fairly worn down. (There was even a warning sign to the owner that renovations are overdue.) – The elevator was out of order for 2-3 days, after we were stuck in it for several minutes. – The water in the apartment (probably the whole building) was shut off on our second day for a few hours without warning – The view from the unit is onto a private parking lot and the neighboring building, so essentially you have the shades down all the time.

Overall, the price may be a little high for what you get but we did have a good time.

My partner and I just returned from our 3 night stay in Marty & Anthony's apartment and we had the absolute best weekend stay in a long time, the apartment was located in THE perfect location with ALL the amenities anyone could need – AND THEN SOME! Marty was extremely helpful and responsive to my questions prior to our stay and even during our stay. He also provided us with numerous suggestions and recommendations for restaurants and SoBe hotspots. I cannot say enough good about this rental OR the owners. We will definitely be back and hope to stay in their NYC rental sometime soon as well. THANK YOU, again!

If you are looking for the best way to experience Rio de Janeiro, search no more! This apartment is just perfect! Located across the street from the iconic Copacabana beach, it offers an absolutely stunning view of the bay and the Sugar Loaf. Experience sunrise once there and trust me, breakfast will have a whole new meaning!

The apartment is located at the south end of the strip and allows you to access the complete range of bars, restaurants, night clubs this area as to offer. It is a short walk also to the Ipanema area which is just as Iconic! A short cab ride from all the main touristic attractions of the city: Pao de Açucar, Corcovado, Jardim Botanico, etc….

You will find in a close range of the apartment all you need during your stay: Grocery, Pharmacy, Banks, all within the same block or right next.

If you are there during the Carnival, don't forget to add the bus commute to your tickets, taxis won't be allowed close to the Sabadromo and it's the best way to get there! Pick up point is at the Regente Hotel across the street!

MARTY is an excellent host. He responded immediately, contacted me before my trip to make sure I had all the info I needed, everything worked smoothly and he even followed up with me while I was there to make sure I was comfortable!

THE LOCATION couldn't be better. Right on the beach and walking distance to lots of great food and shopping.

THE ROOM was well taken care of, clean and in good condition. I slept well as the area is nice and quiet despite the close proximity to the lively bar area.

Hello everyone, I highly recommend this studio, very well equipped, very clean and very well located, 100m from a starbuck for breakfast, 300m from Nikki beach for evenings on weekends, facing the sea, with a small pool sheltered from the very nice wind and on Ocean Drive, where everything takes place in Miami Beach. Marty is a lovely, well-organized host who takes care of you from start to finish and keeps in touch with you. For tours, I recommend citydiscovery, the bus will pick you up in front of the apartment. Must do: Key West, the Everglades, and Biscayne Bay by boat. A great stay and memories in your head!! Hi everyone, I deeply recommend you this studio, very well equipped, very clean and very well placed, 100m of a starbuck for the breakfast, 300m of Nikki beach, in front of the sea, with a small swimming pool shielded from the wind and on Ocean Drive, where everything takes place in Miami Beach. Marty is an adorable, well organized host and who takes care of you from the beginning to the end, and keep in touch with you. For the visits, I recommend you citydiscovery, the bus comes to look for you in front of the apartment. We visited Key West, Everglades and Biscayne bay by boat. A magnificent stay and memories full the head!!

The buildning itself is a bit worn and public areas could use some renovation, so on arrival I was a little bit in doubt how the studio is going to be like but no worries, it is exactly like in the pictures. The studio is well equipped and the location on Ocean Drive is very good. Marty was a very helpful host (we did not meet but sent messages).

An avid Rio fan, Marty's place was a jewel of a find in a great city where similar views would command astronomical hotel prices. The apartment offered a comfortable and breezy respite from the steamy bustle of a beach city in summer. The apartment has all the necessary accoutrements one would need for a great holiday. Marty is an amiable host who will try and make one's stay pleasant offering tips on what to do and see in Rio. Overall, a spectacular stay!

Marty and Anthony's place in South Beach is my dream home. It's bright, clean, cool and superbly appointed. But the story doesn't end with the apartment itself; Marty's communications were excellent and his hospitality is unrivalled. This is a perfect, modern pad right on the beach in an art deco 1939 building. I'm convinced there's no better place to soak up Miami Beach!

Marty was very quick to reply and addressed all the questions I had in a very helpful and friendly manner. I was allowed to stay a bit later at the place on the day of departure which was very helpful, and in general I felt that I was very well looked after. The flat has indeed a great view at a very reasonable price. It took us a while to figure out how everything worked, but we got there eventually :-). I'd say the decor is a bit dated, but for the price it was an excellent choice and I'd very happily stay there again!

Me and my dauhghter have been hosted in this NYC Marty's apartment for 5 days Januray 2013 and it has been a wonderful experience – the apartment is exactely the same you can see in the photos and it's really very well equipped and very warm …. it seemed to us to be at home!!! More of this it's 5 minutes away from subway station and 10 minutes walking from Times Square….perfect site to visit NY in the best way

I had the great pleasure of staying at Marty and Anthony's cozy pad in South Beach for 9 glorious days and couldn't have asked for a better place or better hosts! The apartment is in one of the best areas of South Beach and steps from the ocean. Clean, modern and just plain fabulous, like a home away from home. Marty and Anthony's South Beach apartment was great for our trip to Miami. It was accurately described and clean, and communication with Marty was a breeze. While it is a cosy space, it is well decorated and in the BEST location in all of Miami – and incredibly affordable in comparison to hotels in the area. It has all the amenities one would need for their stay, including cooking utensils and the like. Our stay was very enjoyable and it was nice to come back to the apartment after long days exploring the vibrant South Beach district. Thanks Marty and Anthony!

We are new to AirBnb and our first experience has converted us! Marty couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Great communication from the day we made our booking and throughout our stay. Marty's guidebook is very helpful and his recommendations are great. The apartment is small but comfortable for the two of us. Plus we spent most of our time on South Beach anyway, which is right behind the building! It was the perfect location, a few blocks away from the main party drag but still close enough to enjoy SoBe. After reviewing prices for hotels in Copacabana Beach, my friend and I decided to search for a more affordable option. My friend suggested we use Airbnb. At first I was skeptical but it turned out to be a great option for us. Marty’s apartment is very charming and comfortable. The view from the apartment is spectacular and the location could not have been better. Marty was very helpful and accommodating. This is a great apt in a great location. The Art Deco building is very nice and Marty was a great host. Very communicative and helpful. The place was clean and well equipped. Marty is a very thoughtful person; when we arrived he welcomed us with sympathy as a friend, there was a big bouquet of roses on the table as well as champagne and apples, a delicate attention from him. We had a lot of fun spending 8 days in this beautiful apartment which is similar to the photos and was quite spacious for 3 people. Very well located 15mn walk from Times Square, what happiness!!! We had an awesome stay in Marty's place. The view is just awesome! and everything is accessible including Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Forget the expensive hotels! Will recommend this place to everyone who want a great place in Rio.

Airbnb is a great way to find beautiful places for your holidays and to meet new people; this is a special case, for the location and, more important, for the host. The place was exactly the same as the description and Marty is more, more gentle, polite and helpful than you can imagine. Any doubt or question has always had an answer in a short time, for people who are in a place never seen at 5000 miles from home…is definitely a pleasant sensation of safeness. Our honeymoon trip was even better than we expected! Rio is marvelous, the apartment is great, and the view is really spectacular! This is one of the best locations in Copa, so i highly recommend it! Marty is a very nice host, he is so easy to communicate with.

Marty was a real pleasure to deal with and was very helpful and always in contact. The flat was lovely and in a great location. The view from the flat is amazing. My only slight disappointment was that the window is set back a little so the lovely view is obstructed by wall on both sides as part of the building design.

The very best of the best hosts!!!Marty and Anthony!alothough we never met Marty is the nicest person you can imagine, very helpful with everything you ask him.the Miami apt is perfect,very clean and decorated with taste,eveything you need is there, from cups to coffee maker to beach towels! the location is amazing, virtually on the beach, very quiet and peaceful and one block from all the restaurants and wallgreens and everything you can think about.if you want to rent a car, there's a place 2 blocks away,and you can walk or ride a bike in miami beach! Great apartment with amazing view of Copacabana! The process was real easy and Marty was very quick to respond and was very helpful. The best recommendations from us!

This place is as described. It's in a good location on Ocean Dr a couple blocks south of all the activity, so it's close enough be convenient yet far enough to be quiet at night. It was easy to find and gain access with Marty's directions. The studio is on the top floor and near the back (beach side) of the building which means there's less foot traffic in the halls to disturb sleep. (As an aside, there seemed to be no neighbors there during my six nights, so it was very quiet and made for good sleep. And the bed was comfortable.) It also has all of the necessities you'll need for your stay. Marty was good with communicating prior to my trip and I felt confident that he would have helped while I was there, had I needed it. To sum up, if you're going to South Beach I recommend a stay at Marty and Anthony's place.

We arrived on a Saturday and took off the following Wednesday. Our host was gracious enough to accommodate an early check in which was a bonus since the flight into Miami came in around 11am. Even though out host wasn't physically in Miami at the time, he seemed knowledgeable about all things Miami and reachable in the event of a question or concern. Definitely would recommend this property to a friend!

Beautiful apartment in Rio! The location could not be any more perfect. Amazing view and central to bars, restaurants, beach, and nightlife. Marty was extremely helpful and provided local help in Rio. This apartment is perfect and colorful and happy. Very clean and what I loved the most was waking up to the sun and eating breakfast by the wonderful window view. It's right across the street from Copacabana beach. less than 1 minute walk!!!! Area is extremely safe and loads of transportation to get to nearby sights. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rio. I will definitely think of Marty when I book my next trip to Rio or in the states.

The place was exactly as described and the location is great. Close to the beach and there is some great restaurants just a few blocks away. Marty was great and answered every question we had very quick. Would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

I can not express how much Marty and Anthony's help and kindness made our trip a complete success. I spoke on the phone with Marty the day before and he gave us such nice advice, really making our trip such a special and perfect SoBe experience! (Go to the cafe at Anglers 660!!)

We flew into Miami very early in the morning and our departure flight wasn't until 9pm. They let us check-in early and check-out late (basically giving us another FULL beach day!), since they didn't have anyone coming in the very next day. The apartment is exactly like the pictures and in excellent condition. The location is perfect for running on and off the beach all day and heading out at night. The back of the building has a pathway directly onto the beach and that was ideal. It was so nice to be able to go back to the pool, make lunch, etc. so freely.

Their friendliness and kindness really allowed us to kick back and relax. They were very responsive to our e-mails/calls before the trip. A complete pleasure to deal with. Thank you Marty & Anthony!!!

Marty was a fantastic host! He was in Turkey traveling himself, but was extremely responsive even with the difference in hours. The place itself was clean and very comfortable. Intentionally designed for the space, I never once felt cramped. But let's be honest, you don't visit somewhere for the accomodations and this place is perfect place to comfortably sleep or to chill for a bit to reset before you head out again. Also, it's like a 2 minute walk to the beach and the strip! Great location, highly recommended and if I'm down in Miami again I would definitely stay there.

We literaly LOVED staying in this studio. Marty was so kind with us from our very first contact to our return to Paris. The studio described here is quite the same in with we stayed last week : it's clean, well arranged, functional and tastefully decorated. The location on Ocean Drive is perfect and the little building very correct. My only note concern a part of the pool area wich was under construction during our stay but improvements are always a good thing and is not Marty's responsibility. I definitely recommend this studio and it will be my first choice for a next stay in Miami !

My husband and I had a wonderful month at Marty and Anthony's studio in South Beach. First of all – the location is awesome! It is just two and a half short blocks to Washington with tons of restaurants and shopping, plus the Deco Bike station to cruise where ever you want on the Island. Just another short walk and you are right at a great spot on the Beach, Lummus Park in front of all the night fun of Ocean Drive.

The apartment itself is extremley clean and well organized. Even though the space is relatively small, it feels large being a studio because everything is put away so efficentley. It was very comfortable for two persons and very well decorated.

Another great thing is that everything you need is provided – laundry detergent, kitchen utencils, cleaning products, pots and pans – really all you need is your suit case. There is also full cable with internet which is great for night you just want to hang out and cook at home. The pictures are exactly how it is, there were no surprises.

I think this is a great choice and very well priced for the area. We would most certainly rent from Marty and Anthony again should we have the oppourtunity. Marty was very nice to work with and extremely professional. 5 stars and two thumbs up for SoBe Eucli Ave Large Studio Apt!

I'm gonna try to write in english. Im from France, and I came to Miami's appartment of Marty for 15 days. It was very good to stay there? The appartment is exactly like pictures show. Marty wasn't here during my stay but was present on phone each time I need something or need to ask him some questions. Marty was very nice and helpfull. To conclud, I enjoy my stay there and I will rent again this or another appartment of Marty. I recomand you this appartment. Enjoy it.

Amazing location! My husband and I + our little 4month attachment loved Marty's place! Marty was a great host and always in contact with us, it made our first airbnb experience amazing. The place is very clean and nice and absolutely great location! The beach is right behind the building and less than a block away are pations and clubs. We loved the convenience of everything: starbucks, pool, beach, restaurants and shopping! Forgot to mention, the place is very quiet! We had no noise problems with the baby. It was a great experience and we sort of wished we did this trip before the baby arrived :))))

As before if I return to Rio I will definitly stay at Marty and Anthony's apartment!

My experience at the studio was a great one. The location is perfect, one of my favorite neighborhoods in south beach. And Marty and Anthony were really sweet, accessible and easy to deal with. I definitely recommend their place! 🙂

The building itself doesn’t look too good from the outside. But as soon as you walk into the apartment you will find the exact opposite: a very stylish designed and comfortable little apartment with everything you might need! It was clean and is located right at the beach with lots of restaurants, cafes and even the city center in walking distance. Marty is a very sweet and helpful person and always responded immediately to all the questions I had. I can definitely recommend to stay at his place!

Just returned from holiday in Rio and we stayed at Marty and Anthony's apartment. The apartment perfectly located right on Copacabana beach and has got one of the best views of Copacabana and few minutes walk to Ipanema beach.

The flat is very good size, very clean, light and well equipt.

Marty and Anthony were very helpful from the time we booked until we left. They were always ready to help with any inquiries we had.

If we return to Rio we will certainly stay in this apartment and we highly recommend this apartment.

He was easy to get a hold of, prompt with his emails, & answered all my questions. He was the perfect host! The apartment was beautiful, clean & organized. Everything was easy to find & operate. If you've ever been to South Beach, you know that there are a million hotels/motels. You also know that most of them are overpriced and dumpy. Marty's place is such a welcome respite from that. It's a beautiful apartment that just has that Miami feel to it. The location is amazing, as it's in a quiet area but just a block or two from the heart of it all. Marty quickly got in contact with me, and even called on my check in date to make sure I got in OK and that everything was satisfactory. It's little things like that which make all the difference. I can't wait to go back to South Beach, and I already plan to stay here again.
